John Nardozza returns to Penn State Altoona women’s basketball as an assistant coach beginning in the 2013-2014 season. He was previously an assistant with the team from 1993-2000, then served as the program’s head coach from 2000-2005. As head coach, he helped guide the Lady Lions to Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference championships in the 2000-2001 and 2001-2002 seasons – the program’s only conference titles to date.
Nardozza is retired from U.S. Foodservice and Nardo’s Café, and he is currently working part-time for IU 8.
Nardozza is a native of Altoona. He is a husband to his wife Kay, a father of four (Shauna Polito, J.M., Whitney, and Janelle), and a grandfather of four (Mya and Carmine Polito and Dominic and Michael Nardozza).
