Men’s, Women’s Wrestling Teams Release 2024-25 Schedules
ALTOONA, Pa. – The Penn State Altoona men's and women's wrestling program, which is preparing to enter its first season as an NCAA Division III sport at Ivyside, announced its 2024-25 schedule on Monday afternoon.
The Lions men's and women's teams will start their seasons in early November, with each team hosting a home event in January.

Men's wrestling:
Penn State Altoona men's wrestling starts its 2024-25 season in the Alvernia University Open on Saturday, November 2, then hits the road again to face Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference opponent Penn College on Saturday, November 16.
The Lions' schedule continues on Sunday, December 1, when the team will compete in the Mat Town Open, hosted by Lock Haven University.
Penn State Altoona's home opener is Friday, January 11, at 1:30 p.m. against Fairmont State University. The following day, Saturday, January 11, the Lions travel to Pitt-Bradford for the AMCC Duals.
Penn State Altoona competes in the Mat Town Open II on Sunday, February 2, at Lock Haven, then rounds out its schedule in the AMCC Tournament at Penn State Behrend on Saturday, February 15.
The NCAA Southeast Regional dates are Friday, February 28, and Saturday, March 1, and the NCAA Championships are Friday, March 14, and Saturday, March 15.
Women's wrestling:
The Penn State Altoona women's wrestling team begins its 2024-25 schedule with a trio of road dates in November, starting with the East Stroudsburg University Open on Sunday, November 3. After that, the Lions will play in the Pioneer Open at Alfred State College on Sunday, November 10, and the Millersville University Open on Sunday, November 17.
Penn State Altoona's first home event is Monday, January 20, at 1:30 p.m. against Alvernia University, and the Lions continue their schedule at the PA Women's Collegiate State Championships on Sunday, January 26.
Penn State Altoona's regular season wraps up in the Muhlenberg College Duals on Saturday, February 1. After that, the AMCC Tournament is Saturday, February 8, at Hiram College, and the NCWWC Region 2 Championships are Saturday, February 22, at East Stroudsburg.
The NCWWC National Championships dates are Friday, March 7, and Saturday, March 8.
