Penn State Altoona Athletics has been closely monitoring recent developments related to the potential spread of COVID-19, commonly known as the coronavirus. During this time, Athletics department administration has followed guidance from Penn State University and the Office of the Vice President for Commonwealth Campuses.

After a careful review of the situation, it has been determined that it is in the best interests of our student-athletes, coaches, staff, and fans to indefinitely suspend all athletic-related activities in order to help curb the spread of the virus. Effective immediately, all Penn State Altoona varsity athletics activities shall cease. During this suspension of athletics activities, no contests, practices, or training will take place, including at non-University affiliated facilities. It is our expectation that student-athletes will continue their academic progress and follow University guidelines.
