Seven Lions Earn Spots on CSC Academic All-District At-Large Team

GREENWOOD, Ind. – A total of seven Penn State Altoona student-athletes from three different teams were named to the College Sports Communicators' NCAA Division III Academic All-District At-Large team, which was announced on Tuesday afternoon.

The seven Penn State Altoona student-athletes who took places on the CSC's NCAA Division III Academic All-District At-Large team were:

Women's bowling:

  • junior Isabelle Forcey (Clearfield, PA/DuBois Central Catholic), an Elementary and Early Childhood Education major
  • sophomore Kennedie Lauver (New Berlin, PA/Mifflinburg), a Business major
  • sophomore Maddy Sosko (Latrobe, PA/Greater Latrobe), an Environmental Studies major
  • senior Breanna Yarnall (Bedford, PA/Bedford), a Nursing major

Men's golf:

  • sophomore Jack DiTrani (Hinsdale, IL/Benet Academy), an Accounting major

Men's volleyball:

  • senior Jared Kish (Columbus, OH/Hilliard Darby), a Rail Transportation Engineering major
  • sophomore Willem Del Priore (Seven Valleys, PA/Dallastown), an Education major

The CSC's Academic All-District At-Large team is comprised of NCAA Division III student-athletes from 14 different sports: field hockey, ice hockey, lacrosse, water polo, women's bowling, fencing, rifle, crew/rowing, skiing, golf, gymnastics, men's volleyball, men's wrestling, and women's beach volleyball. Nominators from each CSC member school could submit up to six nominees from men's sports and up to six nominees from women's sports.

To be eligible for a spot on the Academic All-District team, student-athletes must meet certain academic and athletic requirements. Student-athletes must be at least sophomores, both academically and athletically, while holding cumulative grade-point averages of 3.5 or higher.

Women's bowling nominees must have competed in a minimum of four competitions. For men's golf, student-athletes must have played in 70 percent of the team's total events. Men's volleyball nominees must have competed in at least 90 percent of the team's total sets or started at least 66 percent of the total matches.
