17 Lion Swimmers Named to SUNYAC Honor Roll

SYRACUSE, N.Y. – 17 Penn State Altoona student-athletes on the men's and women's swimming teams earned academic accolades from their conference on Wednesday, when the State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) announced its 2025-26 Commissioner's Academic Honor Roll.

To qualify, student-athletes must have cumulative grade-point averages of 3.3 or higher. The 17 Lions on the SUNYAC Commissioner's Academic Honor Roll for the 2025-26 season are:

Women's Swimming:
  • sophomore Alexis Buchala (Tamaqua, PA/Tamaqua); majoring in Kinesiology
  • freshman Sophia Cowher (Tyrone, PA/Tyrone); majoring in Education
  • junior Julia Daley (Langhorne, PA/Neshaminy); majoring in Nursing
  • junior Emma Fraundorfer (Altoona, PA/Altoona); majoring in Accounting
  • freshman Paige Goray (Erie, PA/Harbor Creek); majoring in Kinesiology
  • sophomore Anna Heller (Chesapeake, VA/Huntingdon); majoring in Biology
  • freshman Ashley Moretz (Bellefonte, PA/Bellefonte); majoring in Nursing
  • freshman Victoria Oldford (Bucks County, PA/Palisades); majoring in Kinesiology
