Bio
Kevin Lazzaro – Men's Golf, 2003-04
Kevin Lazzaro was among the first standout golfers in what has become a traditionally strong program in the NCAA Division III era. Lazzaro was a two-time AMCC individual champion. First as a freshman, Lazzaro carded a 75 at Wildwood Country Club in suburban Pittsburgh while leading Penn State Altoona to its first AMCC team championship. For his efforts, Lazzaro was named AMCC Newcomer of the Year and an All-AMCC performer. The Lions followed the AMCC title with a win at the ECAC Southern Regional at the Penn State Blue Course.
In his 2004 sophomore campaign, he carded another 75 at Pine Acres Golf Club in Bradford and won in a playoff for his second AMCC individual crown. The Lions took second in the team championship while Lazzaro was named first-team All-AMCC.
In program history, Lazzaro ranks third all time with a 77.4 scoring average and was twice named AMCC Golfer of the Week.
