Frank "Junie" Moore – Men's Basketball, 1947-49

Distinguished Achievement Inductee

Altoona native Frank "Junie" Moore returned from military service and attended the Altoona Undergraduate Center, serving as captain on a championship basketball squad. He went on to enjoy success on the hardwood at University Park as a letterwinner in 1950 and 1951. His 1949 A.U.C. team won both the Altoona City League title and the Pennsylvania Junior College Athletic Association state championship. Moore went on to have a distinguished career as an educator and coach over 38 years in the Spring Cove School District.
