What made you want to attend Penn State Altoona?
I wanted to attend Penn State Altoona because it offers the strength and reputation of the Penn State University system in a smaller environment. Penn State Altoona also provides strong programs in health and exercise sciences, which align closely with my academic interests. Also, Penn State Altoona offered the opportunity to continue playing competitive basketball, which was important to me as an athlete.
How did you get your start in your sport?
I played all sports growing up, when I quickly developed a passion for basketball.
What are some of your favorite memories from your time as a Penn State Altoona student-athlete so far?
Competing in the conference championship game last season and beating Wooster at home this season.
Do you have any mentors or role models at Penn State Altoona? If so, how have they helped you improve as a person?
Yes, Coach McGreal has been a major mentor and role model for me at Penn State Altoona. Through consistent guidance and high expectations, he has helped me grow in discipline, leadership, and accountability.
Outside of sports, what do you hope to accomplish during your time at Penn State Altoona?
I hope to focus on academic success and fully prepare for physician assistant (PA) school by building a strong foundation in my coursework. I also want to be involved in leadership and service opportunities, which SAAC allows me to do, gain hands-on healthcare experience, and continue growing personally while making meaningful connections on campus.
What career role would you like to have in the future? How is Penn State Altoona helping you reach that goal?
I hope to become a physician assistant. Penn State Altoona is helping me reach this goal by providing a strong academic foundation in the health and exercise sciences, hands-on learning opportunities, and close faculty support that prepares me for PA school.
