Men’s, Women’s Swimming Program Announces 2022-23 Schedule
ALTOONA, Pa. – The Penn State Altoona men's and women's swimming program released its 2022-23 schedule on Friday.
The teams' regular season schedule gets underway in early October and spans into late January, followed by the annual four-day Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference Championships in February.

The swim season starts with a women's-only meet at home on Saturday, October 8, when Penn State Altoona will host Division II opponent Lock Haven University at 2:00 p.m. for a dual meet in the Adler Natatorium. After that, the men's and women's teams will face non-conference opponent Washington & Jefferson College (Saturday, October 15 at 1:00 p.m.) and Saint Vincent College (Saturday, October 22 at 1:00 p.m.).
Penn State Altoona's men's and women's teams start November with a road meet at AMCC opponent Alfred State College (Saturday, November 5 at 1:00 p.m.), then take part in the three-day Oberlin College Invitational (Thursday, November 17 through Saturday, November 19) later in the month.
The Lion teams return to conference action in December, traveling to face Penn State Behrend (Saturday, December 3 at 1:00 p.m.) before a home meet against non-conference opponent Lycoming College on Friday, December 9 at 6:00 p.m. to close out the 2022 portion of the schedule.
The Penn State Altoona men's and women's teams host a pair of multi-team meets during January, as they will fine tune for the conference postseason. On Saturday, January 21 at 1:00 p.m., the squads will combine to host Chatham University, Franciscan University, and AMCC opponent Pitt-Bradford for a meet in Adler. The following weekend, on Saturday, January 28, the Lions will host non-conference foes Elizabethtown College and Juniata College for a tri-meet at 1:00 p.m.
Penn State Altoona men's and women's swimming embarks on its postseason journey from Wednesday, February 15 through Saturday, February 18, when the Lions will compete in the AMCC Championships. More information on the conference postseason will be available closer to the date of competition.
