Fiona McConnell is the assistant coach and recruiting coordinator for the Penn State Altoona men's and women's swimming program, beginning her tenure in the 2025-26 season.

McConnell has been involved in competitive swimming since 2008. She swam for the Blair Regional YMCA club team and Tyrone Area High School before continuing her academic career at Penn State, where she competed on the Club Team. In 2021, she represented club swimming as a THON dancer. McConnell's favorite events include the 100 breaststroke, where she set the Tyrone Area High School record, along with the 200 breaststroke, 200 freestyle, and 200 individual medley. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Genetic Biology with a minor in Biochemistry and went on to coach at the Blair Regional YMCA from 2024-25.
