Lions Suffer Narrow Loss at Behrend
ERIE, Pa. – The Penn State Altoona men's tennis team took its first Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference loss of the season on Saturday evening, when the Lions fell 4-3 to league opponent Penn State Behrend at the Westwood Racquet Club.
Behrend (6-7, 2-1 AMCC) scored the first point of the night in doubles play, where it won all three matches by scores of 6-2. Penn State Altoona (6-2, 2-1 AMCC) and Behrend split the six singles matches, and the home team did enough to maintain its one-point lead and hand the Lions a 4-3 loss.
