Men's Tennis Concludes Fall Season with 6-1 Loss at Juniata
HUNTINGDON, Pa. - The Penn State Altoona men's tennis team traveled to face Juniata College today for their last game of the fall season, losing to the Golden Eagles 6-1.
Juniata (1-0) got the first point of the match after winning two out of three doubles. Penn State Altoona (2-2) salvaged a victory in No. 3 doubles, where duo Jackson Newell (Leechburg, PA / Kiski Area)/Ivan Bene (York, PA / Lancaster Country Day) earned a 7-5 victory.
For singles, the Lions got a win in the No. 6 match as Wilhem Grot (Tyrone, PA/Tyrone) won 6-4, 6-1 over his opponent.
But Juniata won five out of six overall in singles to ultimately hand Penn State Altoona a 6-1 loss.
The next time the Penn State Altoona men's tennis team will compete will be this February 27, coincidentally against Juniata College. The match is set to take place at 4:00 p.m. at the Adler Tennis Courts.
