Cross Country Releases 2026 Schedules
ALTOONA, Pa. – The Penn State Altoona men's and women's cross country teams announced their 2026 schedules on Monday.
The Lions are set to compete in five regular-season meets – including the program's first home event since its recent reincarnation as an NCAA sport at Penn State Altoona – before the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference Championships and potential NCAA postseason runs.
Men's Cross Country 2026 Schedule | Women's Cross Country 2026 Schedule
Penn State Altoona starts its season at Union Canal Tunnel Park in Lebanon, Pa., on Saturday, Sept. 5, where the squads will run in Lebanon Valley College's Dutchmen Invitational. After that, the Lions head to the Indian Valley Elementary Center in Reedsville, Pa., on Saturday, Sept. 12, to compete in the Juniata College Eagle Invitational. The teams finish the month of September in Lock Haven, Pa., to run in the Lock Haven University Invitational at the West Branch Cross Country Course on Saturday, Sept. 26.
The Lions begin October by hosting the Penn State Altoona Invitational on Friday, Oct. 2, at Fort Roberdeau in Altoona. The regular season concludes on Saturday, Oct. 17, at the Aubrey Shenk Invitational, hosted by Gettysburg College. After that, Penn State Altoona runs in the AMCC Championships on Saturday, Oct. 31, in Sewickley, Pa.
Additional postseason dates consist of the NCAA Division III Mideast Regional Championships on Saturday, Nov. 14, in Lock Haven, as well as the NCAA Division III Championships on Saturday, Nov. 21, in Northfield, Minn.
