Women’s Basketball Announces 2026-27 Schedule
ALTOONA, Pa. — Penn State Altoona women's basketball revealed its 2026-27 schedule on Thursday, a 25-game slate that includes 12 home games, 12 road games, one neutral-site contest, and 14 Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference dates.
The Lions will open the season on the road on Saturday, Nov. 7, with a 2:30 p.m. game at Marietta College. Penn State Altoona will remain away from home for a 7 p.m. contest at Juniata College on Tuesday, Nov. 10, before traveling to Catholic University for a 2 p.m. game on Saturday, Nov. 14, in the Catholic University Tournament. The Lions will stay in Washington, D.C., for the second day of the tournament and face the University of Wisconsin-River Falls in a neutral-site game on Sunday, Nov. 15, at 2 p.m.
Penn State Altoona will hold its home opener on Friday, Nov. 20, when it hosts Alfred University at 5:30 p.m. The Lions will then close out the month on the road at Penn State Harrisburg on Sunday, Nov. 29, at 2 p.m.
December begins with a home game against Waynesburg University on Saturday, Dec. 5, at 3 p.m. Penn State Altoona then travels to Wilson College for a 6 p.m. game on Tuesday, Dec. 8, before returning home to host Penn College on Friday, Dec. 11, at 6 p.m. The Lions will wrap up the calendar year on Wednesday, Dec. 30, when they host Wilkes University at 3 p.m.
Penn State Altoona opens January at home against Gettysburg College on Sunday, Jan. 3, at 1 p.m. The Lions' AMCC schedule begins on Wednesday, Jan. 6, when they travel to Carlow University for a 7 p.m. game. Penn State Altoona's home conference opener is scheduled for Saturday, Jan. 9, when it hosts Pitt-Bradford at 4 p.m.
The Lions continue conference play on the road at Penn State Behrend on Wednesday, Jan. 13, at 5 p.m., at Hilbert College on Saturday, Jan. 16, at 3 p.m., and at Pitt-Greensburg on Monday, Jan. 18, at 7 p.m. Penn State Altoona then returns home for conference games against La Roche University on Saturday, Jan. 23, at 4 p.m. and Mount Aloysius College on Wednesday, Jan. 27, at 7 p.m. The month concludes with another conference road game at Pitt-Bradford on Saturday, Jan. 30, at 4 p.m.
The February portion of the schedule starts with three consecutive home AMCC games. Penn State Altoona will host Penn State Behrend on Wednesday, Feb. 3, at 5 p.m., Carlow on Saturday, Feb. 6, at 4 p.m., and Pitt-Greensburg on Wednesday, Feb. 10, at 7 p.m. The Lions then go back on the road for conference contests at La Roche on Saturday, Feb. 13, at 4 p.m. and at Mount Aloysius on Wednesday, Feb. 17, at 7 p.m. Penn State Altoona closes the regular season at home on Saturday, Feb. 20, when it hosts Hilbert in a 3 p.m. conference game.
AMCC postseason dates are Tuesday, Feb. 23, for the first round and Friday, Feb. 26, and Saturday, Feb. 27, for the semifinal and championship rounds.
