Men’s Wrestling Downed by Wildcats in AMCC Dual

WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – The Penn State Altoona men's wrestling team competed in its first dual meet of the 2024-25 season on Saturday afternoon, when the Lions faced Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference opponent Penn College at the PCT Field House.

Facing its first AMCC competition of the year, Penn State Altoona suffered a 54-3 loss at the hands of the Wildcats. The Lions' lone points of the day came courtesy of Andrew Weaver (Tyrone, PA/Tyrone), who earned a 14-9 decision over Penn College's Cole Shupp in the 174 weight class.

Also wrestling for Penn State Altoona in the meet were Tammar Reza (Belle Mead, NJ/Montgomery) at 125, Isaiah Shilcosky (Sidman, PA/Forest Hills) at 141, Michael Munoz (Secaucus, NJ/Secaucus) at 149, Remington Fleck (Tyrone, PA/Tyrone) at 157, Seth Hoodye (San Dimas, CA/San Dimas) at 184, and Brady Shehan (Altoona, PA/Altoona) at 285.

Next up, Penn State Altoona men's wrestling will travel for another dual, as the Lions will head to Reading, Pa., on Tuesday, November 26, to take on non-conference opponent Alvernia University at 7 p.m.
