Women's Soccer Draws Mounties 0-0
CRESSON, Pa. - The Penn State Altoona women's soccer team traveled to Kelly Field to play local rivals Mount Aloysius. Although there would be chances, the game would end in a 0-0 draw.
Mount Aloysius (3-5-3, 1-1-1 AMCC) would threaten early in the game, with Abby Bell hitting the crossbar in the ninth minute. Mount Aloysius would get more shots in the first half, five shots to Penn State Altoona's (3-4-4, 0-1-2) one.
In the second half, the tide would shift. Numbers between Penn State Altoona and Mount Aloysius would be more even. Shots would be four to three in favor of Penn State Altoona, with both teams having one shot on goal.
Goalkeeper Mya Torres (Culpeper, VA / Culpeper County) would get the start, making three saves in goal. Ivory MoDavis (Bethlehem, PA / Southern Lehigh) and Kira Trexler (Martinsburg, PA / Central) each got shots on goal for the Lions.
Penn State Altoona women's soccer returns home for their next game, where they will face Pitt Bradford. The game will be a Blair County Food / Ivyside Eats Drive. Kickoff is set for 2:00 p.m.
