Women's Tennis Wins in Final Regular Season Game

ALTOONA, Pa. - The Penn State Altoona women's tennis team returned home to face Juniata for their final regular season game of the season. Penn State Altoona would end the regular season on a positive note, winning 5-2. 

Penn State Altoona (13-1, 4-1 AMCC) and Juniata (1-3) each got one point from doubles. Abigail Morgan (Orrville, OH/Orrville)/Sienna Fell (Canonsburg, PA / Canon-McMillan) prevailed in No. 2 doubles 6-4. In No. 3 doubles, Lexi Colaianni (Pittsburgh, PA / Kiski Area)/Daniel Fulton (Milford, DE / Milford) would shut down their opponents, 6-0.

Fulton's win in doubles was number 12 for the season, setting a new Penn State Altoona women's tennis single-season record for the most doubles wins.

In singles, Penn State Altoona would win four out of six. Colaianni prevailed 6-3, 7-6 (7-4) in No. 3 singles. In No. 4 singles, Fell won 6-4, 6-3. Morgan won 6-1, 6-2 in No. 5 singles. In No. 6 singles, Fulton won 6-0, 6-0.  

The Penn State Altoona women's tennis team's next game is an AMCC semi-final game against Pitt Greensburg. The match will take place at Westwood Racquet Club in Erie, Pa. on Saturday, October 18, at 5:30 p.m.
