Women's Tennis Blanks Tomcats, 7-0

GREENVILLE, Pa. - The Penn State Altoona women's tennis team traveled to face Thiel Saturday afternoon, posting a 7-0 victory over the Tomcats. 

Penn State Altoona (15-4) put together a dominant performance to get their 15th win of the season, winning all three doubles and all six singles matches to deal Thiel (0-13) a loss.  

At No. 1 doubles, the duo of Sienna Fell (Canonsburg, PA/Canon-McMillan) and Abigail Morgan (Orrville, OH/Orrville) got their 12th win of the season after defeating their opponents 6-2. In No. 2 doubles, Lexi Colaianni (Pittsburgh, PA/Kiski Area) and Daniel Fulton (Milford, DE/Milford) defeated their opponents 6-0 for their 12th win of the season. Dahlia Dokmenler and Alejandra Segura (San Juan, PR/Colegio Mater Salvatoris) got their first win together in No. 3 doubles following their 6-0 victory.  

Penn State Altoona continued its command of the match during singles play. In No. 1 singles, Colaianni got her 13th win of the season after winning 6-1, 6-0. Fell won 6-4, 6-0 in No. 2 singles to get her 14th win of the season. Morgan got her 13th win of the season following her 6-0, 6-0 win in the No. 3 spot. In the No. 4 slot, Fulton triumphed 6-1, 6-0 for his 11th win of the season. Dokmenler got her first collegiate career win in No. 5 singles with a 6-0, 6-0 victory. In the No. 6 spot, Segura won 6-0, 6-0 for her second victory this season.  

For their next game, Penn State Altoona women's tennis will travel to face local rivals Mount Aloysius on Wednesday, April 1, at 4:30 p.m.
