Four Women’s Tennis Student-Athletes Picked for CSC Academic Honors

GREENWOOD, Ind. – Four student-athletes on the Penn State Altoona women's tennis team were honored for their academic achievements on Tuesday afternoon, when the College Sports Communicators announced the NCAA Division III Academic All-District tennis teams.

To be eligible for a spot on an Academic All-District team in tennis, student-athletes must meet certain academic and athletic requirements. Academically, student-athletes must be at least sophomores while holding cumulative grade-point averages of 3.5 or higher. Athletically, athletes must have been in the lineup for at least 75 percent of a team's matches. Nominators could submit up to four qualified student-athletes per tennis team.

The four Penn State Altoona women's tennis student-athletes named to the CSC's NCAA Division III Academic All-District team are:

-junior Caitlin Blessel (Saint Marys, PA/Saint Marys); majoring in Biology

-junior Lexi Colaianni (Pittsburgh, PA/Kiski Area); majoring in Business Marketing and Management

-sophomore Sienna Fell (Canonsburg, PA/Canon-McMillan); majoring in Psychology

-sophomore Daniel Fulton (Milford, DE/Milford); majoring in Biology
