Women’s Tennis Announces 2026 Schedule

ALTOONA, Pa. — Penn State Altoona fall sport schedules continued to roll out on Tuesday, when the women's tennis team released its 2026 schedule.

The Lions are scheduled for 16 matches, consisting of nine home dates and seven road matches along with their eight-match Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference slate.

The Lions will open the season at home on Sunday, Aug. 30, when they host Waynesburg University at 2 p.m. Penn State Altoona remains at home for its conference opener on Wednesday, Sept. 2, when it faces Carlow University at 4 p.m. The Lions will continue their homestand on Saturday, Sept. 5, with a 1 p.m. match against Division II Lock Haven University.

Penn State Altoona goes on the road for the first time on Sunday, Sept. 6, with a 1 p.m. match at Saint Vincent College. The Lions then return home for another conference contest on Tuesday, Sept. 8, when they host Mount Aloysius College at 4 p.m.

The schedule continues with a noon road match at D-II Clarion University on Saturday, Sept. 12, before Penn State Altoona travels to Penn State Behrend for a 1 p.m. AMCC match on Sunday, Sept. 13. The Lions return home on Wednesday, Sept. 16, for a 4 p.m. conference match against Pitt-Greensburg, and Penn State Altoona will also host Lycoming College on Friday, Sept. 18, at 4 p.m.

Penn State Altoona heads back on the road on Sunday, Sept. 20, for a 1 p.m. conference match at Mount Aloysius. The Lions will then travel to Carlow for another conference contest on Sunday, Sept. 27, with the match time still to be announced. Penn State Altoona stays on the road on Tuesday, Sept. 29, for a match at D-II Shippensburg University, and that start time is also still to be announced.

The Lions open October at home on Friday, Oct. 2, when they host Penn College at 4 p.m. Penn State Altoona follows that with a 1 p.m. conference home match against Penn State Behrend on Sunday, Oct. 4. The home schedule continues on Tuesday, Oct. 6, when the Lions face Juniata College in a non-conference match with the time still to be announced.

Penn State Altoona closes the regular season on the road on Sunday, Oct. 11, with a 2 p.m. conference match at Pitt-Greensburg.

AMCC postseason tournament dates are Friday, Oct. 16, for the semifinals and Saturday, Oct. 17, for the championship match.
