Women’s Wrestling Releases 2026-27 Schedule

ALTOONA, Pa. — Penn State Altoona women's wrestling announced its 2026-27 schedule on Thursday morning, which includes a mix of opens, duals, conference competition, and postseason events.

The Lions will open the season on Sunday, Nov. 1, at the Princeton Open, which will be hosted by Princeton University. Penn State Altoona will then make its home debut on Friday, Nov. 6, when it hosts Waynesburg University at 5 p.m. The home schedule continues on Wednesday, Nov. 18, with a 6 p.m. dual against Chatham University. Penn State Altoona closes the month on Sunday, Nov. 22, at the John Carroll University Duals.

December begins with conference regular season competition on Saturday, Dec. 5, when the Lions compete against their league opponents in the AMCC Duals, hosted by John Carroll. Penn State Altoona returns to regular dual competition on Wednesday, Dec. 9, at Ithaca College. The Lions then travel to the Golden Wolves Open on Sunday, Dec. 13, with Alvernia University serving as host and the event beginning at 10 a.m.

Penn State Altoona resumes competition in the new year on Friday, Jan. 8, when it hosts the Pitt-Johnstown in a home dual. On Thursday, Jan. 14, the Lions will host both Bethany College and Buffalo State University in a 2 p.m. tri-dual meet. Penn State Altoona then travels to the PA Collegiate State Championships on Saturday, Jan. 23, in an event hosted by East Stroudsburg University that is scheduled to begin at 10 a.m. The Lions close January at home on Saturday, Jan. 30, when they host Misericordia University at 3 p.m.

The February schedule starts with postseason competition on Saturday, Feb. 6, when Penn State Altoona wrestles in the AMCC Championships, hosted by Elmira College. The Lions then return home on Thursday, Feb. 11, for their final regular season event, a 7 p.m. dual against Lackawanna College.

Additional postseason dates are Friday, Feb. 19, and Saturday, Feb. 20, for the NCAA Super Region II Championships, as well as Friday, March 5, and Saturday, March 6, for the NCAA Championships.
