Women’s Cross Country Starts 2025 Season at SFU Invite
TYRONE, Pa. – The Penn State Altoona women's cross country team was in action on Saturday morning for the first time since fall 2015, as the recently-reinstated Lions program competed in Saint Francis University's Father Bede Invitational at B&D Acres.
The Lions had four runners compete in Saturday's event, which was a 4K race.
Victoria Scutti (Bellefonte, PA/State College) was Penn State Altoona's top finisher, placing 28th out of 49 individual runners with a time of 16:40.6. Sharon Lin (Manhattan, NY/Beaver Dam) took 44th place with 19:43.2.
Kayla Crowe (Rockland County, NY/Clarkstown South) finished in 46th place after clocking in at 20:39.3, and Samantha Robinson rounded out the Lions' lineup with a time of 23:52.7 for 49th place.
Division I Duquesne University won the invitational with a team score of 35, while fellow D-I school and host St. Francis was the runner-up with 45.
Penn State Altoona women's cross country returns to action on Friday, September 12, traveling to Erie to run in the Behrend Sunset Run at 5:15 p.m.
