Ingold Selected AMCC Player of the Week
NORTH BOSTON, N.Y. – Penn State Altoona baseball's junior outfielder Zach Ingold (Pittsburgh, PA/Baldwin) was named the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference's Player of the Week for the first time in his collegiate career, when the league office released its weekly awards on Monday afternoon.
Ingold had a strong week at the plate for the Lions, as the Penn State Altoona baseball team took on AMCC opponents Alfred State College and Pitt-Bradford in doubleheaders.
In a pair of losses at home to Alfred State last Monday, April 7, Ingold combined to hit 4-for-6 with a home run, an RBI, a walk, and a run scored. In a split with Pitt-Bradford on the road Sunday, April 13, the junior went 3-for-5 with a home run, three RBI, two walks, a double, and two runs scored.
On the week, Ingold hit .636 (7-for-11) with four RBI, three walks, three runs scored, two home runs, and two doubles while recording a 1.364 slugging percentage.
Penn State Altoona baseball returns to action at home this Thursday, April 17, with a doubleheader against AMCC foe Pitt-Greensburg starting at 1 p.m.
